Another successful ITB Berlin has come and gone with the organisers reporting an increase in business potential and trade visitors to the show. ITB Berlin is always a highlight on the calendar – an opportunity to meet your clients and promote our beautiful destination as well as catch up with industry friends.
We had a great mix of exhibiting partners on the Southern African pavilion with very productive meetings taking place on the trade days. There was a fair amount of walk-on business managed by our German hostess Karola from the reception counter. The consumer days over the weekend were very busy with travellers seeking information for their next holiday break.
The European market is a critical source market for Southern Africa with tourist arrival statistics from German-speaking Europe showing significant increase.
